Track and Train from One Handheld
Built to keep dog tracking and training in the same Garmin system, the Alpha 300i gives you a 3.5-inch touchscreen for maps and dog data plus six physical buttons for quick control in the field. With compatible collars, it can monitor up to 20 dogs from up to 14.5 km away, with location updates as frequent as every 2.5 seconds.
Pair it with a compatible training-enabled collar and the dedicated controls provide 18 levels of momentary or continuous stimulation, along with tone and vibration. Channel View also lets you check collar activity in the area and move compatible devices to a less congested channel when required.
Mapping and inReach Communication
TopoActive Australia and New Zealand mapping comes preloaded, with support for direct-to-device satellite imagery and additional mapping. GPS and Galileo positioning are backed by a tilt-compensated 3-axis compass and barometric altimeter for navigation away from the dog-tracking screen.
Built-in inReach extends the handheld beyond dog tracking with two-way satellite messaging, location exchange, MapShare sharing and interactive SOS through the Iridium satellite network. These inReach services require an active satellite subscription.
The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is user-replaceable and rated for up to 55 hours of use, or up to 50 hours with inReach technology enabled.
