Stay Connected Beyond Mobile Coverage

The inReach Mini 3 Plus gives you more ways to stay in touch when normal mobile coverage runs out. You can type messages up to 1,600 characters on the touchscreen, record 30-second voice messages with the built-in microphone and speaker, or pair a compatible smartphone with Garmin Messenger to send photos. Received voice messages can be read as transcriptions on the display, while received photos can be viewed directly on the device.

With an active inReach satellite subscription, the Mini 3 Plus also provides interactive SOS through Garmin Response, Garmin's 24/7-staffed international coordination centre. LiveTrack lets friends and family follow your location and progress, with the Iridium satellite network carrying supported communications when you are beyond mobile coverage.

Navigation for the Trip Out and Back

Point-to-point navigation and TracBack give the Mini 3 Plus useful navigation tools without making the communication side more complicated. TracBack can guide you back along your route, while Garmin Explore on a paired smartphone adds trip planning, detailed mapping, satellite imagery and additional route information.

Garmin Messenger can use available Wi-Fi or mobile connectivity through your paired smartphone and switch to satellite communication when those networks are no longer available. That keeps the communication workflow together in the same app as conditions change.

Compact for Extended Trips

At 125.2 g, the Mini 3 Plus keeps its satellite communication and navigation functions in a compact handheld which can be secured to a pack with the included loop carabiner. The rechargeable battery is rated for up to 350 hours with 10-minute inReach tracking, while its IP67 rating means it is dust-tight and can withstand incidental immersion in up to 1 metre of water for up to 30 minutes. Garmin also tests the bare device to MIL-STD-810 methods for thermal, shock and water exposure.

Key Features
