The Foretrex 901 Ballistic Edition keeps navigation and ballistic calculations together in a compact wrist-mounted unit. Multi-band GNSS works alongside a tilt-compensated 3-axis compass, barometric altimeter and point-to-point navigation, while TracBack can guide you back along your recorded path.
Applied Ballistics software is built into the 901 to provide customised elevation and windage solutions using ballistic profiles and environmental inputs. The device also includes dual-grid coordinates, night vision mode, stealth mode and a kill switch that can erase the device memory.
Built for Extended Field Use
Power comes from two replaceable AAA batteries, and is rated for up to 100 hours in default GPS mode or up to 1,000 hours in Expedition mode. Its IPX7 rating covers incidental water exposure to 1 m for up to 30 minutes, while MIL-STD-810 testing covers thermal, shock and water testing on the bare unit.
Connected Garmin Options
The Foretrex 901 works with the Garmin Explore app and website and can display smart notifications when paired with a compatible smartphone. It also supports the inReach Remote function with a compatible inReach satellite communicator, allowing supported inReach functions to be accessed through the Foretrex when the required inReach service is active.
