Tracking Without the Training Functions
If you want the Garmin Alpha tracking system without training functions, the T 20 is the tracking-only collar in the range. Its top-mounted high-sensitivity GPS and Galileo receiver determines the collar's position, then sends that location by VHF to a compatible handheld up to 14.5 km away. Location updates can be as frequent as every 2.5 seconds with compatible settings.
Sized for Different Dogs and Longer Tracking
The slim universal-size design is made to work across large and small breeds. With the standard 2.54 cm collar strap, Garmin specifies a minimum neck circumference of 24 cm, or 16.5 cm with the strap fitted in the flipped configuration. The flex band and rechargeable lithium-ion battery are user-replaceable, so those components can be changed without replacing the complete collar device.
Where available, Garmin's dynamic update rate changes the tracking update rate according to your dog's activity to help conserve battery power. The standard battery is rated for up to 68 hours using dynamic tracking, with an optional extended battery increasing that to up to 136 hours. The device also carries a 1 ATM water rating, which means it can withstand pressure equivalent to a depth of 10 m.
Easier to Identify and Keep Updated
Multicolour LED beacon lights can be remotely activated and changed from a compatible handheld, giving you another way to identify the collar in low-light conditions. When the T 20 is charging and connected to a Wi-Fi network, it can also receive automatic software updates without needing a manual update each time.
