A Binocular Built for Distant Detail
The BX-5 Santiam HD 15x56 is Leupold's high-magnification option for hunters and shooters who spend more time glassing at distance. Its 15x magnification and 56 mm objective lenses provide the reach and viewing format Leupold designed for picking out fine detail over longer distances, while the generous eyebox, twist-up eyecups and 18 mm eye relief support extended viewing sessions.
For steadier viewing, the built-in 1/4-20 rotatable tripod port lets you mount the binoculars directly to a suitable support. A Binocular Tray Tripod Adapter is also supplied as part of the Pro Gear accessory package.
Optical Performance Across Changing Light
Leupold builds the BX-5 around its Professional-Grade Optical System, combining HD lenses, Abbe-Koenig prisms, phase-coated roof prisms and fully multi-coated optics. The system is designed around light transmission, glare reduction, resolution and colour fidelity when viewing in challenging light or harsh direct light.
DiamondCoat 2 adds abrasion resistance to the exterior lens surfaces, while the Guard-Ion hydrophobic coating helps shed water and dirt. The binoculars are also waterproof and fogproof for use through changing temperatures, weather and elevation.
