Made for Performance and Precision
Gemini’s Mobil extended choke tubes are manufactured in Italy from 42CrMo4 alloy steel, renowned for its excellent balance of strength, durability, and cost-efficiency. All machining is carried out on high-precision CNC equipment, with rigorous quality checks throughout the production process for perfect tolerances and flawless function.
Advanced Finishes
Gemini chokes undergo an elite finishing process for both performance and longevity:
- Nickel Plating (Niplate HV 500) – Protects internal surfaces from oxidation and ensures smooth, low-friction contact
- Chroming / Burnishing – Enhances corrosion resistance and polish on internal/external surfaces
- DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) Coating – Ultra-hard (2500–3000 Hv) "amorphous diamond" layer gives unmatched durability, abrasion resistance, and anti-adhesion properties
Built with Top-Grade Materials
- 42CrMo4 Alloy Steel (used in ~80% of Gemini chokes):
- Hardened to 800–900 N/mm² and normalized for microstructural balance. Coated with Nickel or Nickel+DLC depending on model.
- 17-4 PH Stainless Steel (used in thin-walled chokes):
- Hardened to 1300–1450 N/mm² after precipitation hardening—ideal for high-load and steel-shot use. Finished uncoated with a bleached surface.
- Ti 6Al-4V (Grade 5 Titanium):
- Used for ultra-lightweight, high-performance shooting chokes. These are DLC-coated and priced higher due to the elite material quality.
Certified and Clearly Marked
All Gemini chokes are laser-marked with “Steel Shot” or “Only Lead”, meeting the strict testing standards of Banco Nazionale di Prova in Italy.
Care Instructions
- Always ensure the firearm is unloaded before fitting or removing the choke
- Inspect chokes before use—check for thread or surface damage
- Tighten fully to prevent gas leakage
- For storage or extended periods, clean and apply high-temp grease before reinstalling
