The long-range compact specialist.

Introducing the ThermTec Faun 225, a high-performance, compact handheld thermal monocular specifically engineered for extended detection ranges and detailed long-distance observation. Built into the same ultra-portable chassis as the rest of the Faun series, the Faun 225 is the perfect choice for open-country hunting, border security, wildlife monitoring, and search and rescue operations where distance matters most.

Weighing just 373g, this unit combines a crisp 256×192 thermal sensor with a larger 25mm lens and an industry-leading =20mK NETD sensitivity, allowing you to spot targets clear across the valley in total darkness and challenging weather.

Features

• Extended 1300m Detection Range: Thanks to its premium 25mm F0.9 objective lens, the Faun 225 dramatically steps up your reach, letting you detect thermal signatures up to 1300 meters away.
• High Native Magnification: Featuring a powerful 3.6x native optical magnification (with up to 4.0x digital zoom), this monocular excels at positive target identification at distances where smaller lenses blur, making it ideal for open fields and alpine terrain.
• Sub-20mK Thermal Sensitivity: Equipped with an incredibly sensitive =20mK NETD core, the Faun 225 effortlessly distinguishes minute temperature differences. It pulls crisp, highly detailed animal silhouettes out of cold backgrounds, even in high humidity, heavy fog, or driving rain.
• Premium AMOLED HD Display: View your environment through a sharp 1024×768 AMOLED display. Toggle between 7 vibrant color palettes and specialized Forest/Target image modes to instantly maximize target contrast based on your surroundings.
• Advanced AI & Electronic Stabilization: Take the guesswork out of field positioning with built-in AI Distance Measurement and Heat Tracking that instantly flags the hottest point in your view. Built-in Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) counteracts hand tremors, keeping your image completely stable at 3.6x magnification.
• 10-Hour Field-Swappable Battery: Powered by a single, standard 18650 battery, the device provides up to 10 hours of continuous runtime. Because it uses non-proprietary, removable batteries, you can simply swap a fresh cell in the field and keep hunting indefinitely.
