How to clean your rifle barrel using everything in this kit:
Step 1: Secure the Rifle
Place the rifle in a gun vise or on a stable surface, muzzle pointed away from you.
Remove the bolt to allow access from the chamber end.
Step 2: Apply DTP Solvent with Bore Brush
Attach the nylon bore brush to your cleaning rod.
Spray DTP solvent directly onto the cleaning brush until soaked
Insert the cleaning rod into the chamber end
Push the brush all the way through the barrel and out the muzzle — do not reverse direction while inside the bore.
Pull it back out (unscrew the brush first) and repeat 4–6 full strokes to loosen carbon and copper fouling.
Step 3: Let Solvent Soak
Let the solvent sit in the barrel for about 5–10 minutes to break down fouling.
Step 4: Run Solvent-Soaked Patches
Replace the brush with the jag.
Place a DTP solvent-soaked patch on the jag.
Run the patch from chamber to muzzle, allowing it to exit the barrel.
Repeat with fresh patches until they come out fairly clean.
You may alternate with more brush strokes if fouling persists.
Step 5: Dry the Bore
Continue running dry patches through the bore until they come out completely clean and dry.
Step 6: Lightly Oil the Bore with Accutech gun oil and lubricant
Attach the mop end to your rod.
Lightly apply gun oil to the mop — just enough to coat, not soak.
Run it once through the bore to leave a light protective film.
Step 7: Reassemble and Wipe Down
Reinsert the bolt.
Wipe down the rifle exterior with the provided cleaning roll to help prevent rust.
