The Bear Claw 2511 is built around a straightforward rescue-knife idea: a hooked blade for working through rope and straps, without the sharp point found on a conventional knife. Its 60.58mm hawkbill blade combines a blunt tip with CRKT's Veff Serrations, making this version particularly well suited to rafting, water sports and emergency-response situations where the knife may be used around rafts and inflatables.

Wet conditions are also accounted for in the handle design. The black glass-reinforced nylon handle has a textured surface and a finger retention hole, giving you additional grip and retention when your hands or equipment are wet.

The stonewashed AUS 8 blade steel is specified by CRKT as corrosion resistant, an important consideration for a knife intended for regular use around water. A thermoplastic sheath is supplied with multiple mounting options, allowing the compact fixed blade to be positioned on suitable gear for convenient access.
