Anschutz has taken the Biathlon proven Fortner straight-pull action, added a two-stage match trigger and a good measure of legendary Anschutz precision to produce one of the world's best rimfire hunting rifles.

The straight pull Fortner action is one of the world's most ergonomic actions. It can easily be operated just using the index finger and thumb. The index finger opens the action and it is quickly closed again with the thumb. In this way the shooter reloads the rifle with just one movement of the wrist. The hand operating the trigger will remain at the grip and even the elbow does not have to move.

Therefore the shooter can stay focused on the target with virtually no disruption. This combined with an extraordinarily short lock-time makes for very efficient shooting.
