Fast Focus from Near to Far

The SkyHawk 4.0 10x42 is made for detailed observation across a wide range of distances. Its 10x magnification gives you the reach for distant subjects, while Fast-Close-Focus works down to 2 m and requires only a small, stepless movement of the centre focus wheel to move between close and distant views.

Steiner's Distance Control System adds another useful part to that focusing setup. It lets you preset an observation distance and then focus through the non-slip XL focusing wheel, making it easier to move back to a familiar viewing distance.

Clear Viewing in Changing Conditions

Steiner High-Contrast optics are designed to deliver bright, high-contrast images with natural colour reproduction and clear contour definition. The Makrolon polycarbonate housing is water pressure proof to 3 m, while the nitrogen-pressure system is designed to prevent condensation and internal fogging across Steiner's stated -20 to +70 °C operating range.

NBR-Longlife rubber armour surrounds the housing, and the ergonomic silicone twist-up eyecups can be folded down for use with glasses.
