Precursor of modern assault rifles, the Sturmgewehr 44, aka STG44, was developed in 1942 by Hugo Schmeisser, under Germany’s Third Reich, and deployed massively in 1944. Between the machine gun and the rifle, the STG44 has the advantages of the 2, as also practical and effective at short or long range.

Well known for its 22LR replica firearms, the German company German Sport Guns offers here the first and only replica of the STG44 in blank bore, extremely realistic, which will please collectors and fans of historical re-enactments!

Characteristics of the STG44

Fantastic replica of the assault rifle STG44, made in Germany by German Sport Guns, in 9 mm PAK blank bore:

  • made with die-cast zinc and steel, for a weight of 9.1 Lbs (without magazine)
  • Removable shoulder stock, made of wood with metal reinforcing, and with a small storage compartment
  • wooden grip plate
  • Total length : 36.89"
  • long curved metal magazine, with 25 shots capacity
  • semi-automatic operating (shot by shot, no burst)
  • lateral cocking lever (left side)
  • lateral ejection port (right side)
  • selector, for safety or fire mode
  • metal rear sight, height and lateral adjustable
  • metal tunnel front sight
  • compatible with the original accessories (according to the manufacturer)

Shooting with the STG44

Engage the safety, turning the selector button down :

  • lever high, towards F : the rifle is ready to shoot
  • lever down, towards S : the rifle is on safety mode

Release the magazine, pushing the locking button : hold it back so that it doesn't fall.

Insert the cartridges : a loading aid tool is delivered to facilitate this operation

Put the magazine back in the rifle

Cock the rifle : pull the arming lever back and let it coming back. The first cartridge comes in the barrel, the rifle is ready to shoot.

Release the safety (lever high) and pull the trigger to shoot. The shot cartridge is automatically ejected from the port, another cartridge taking its place in the chamber. Pull the trigger again to release next shoot and so on.

Once the last cartridge is shot, the bolt remains back.
