Bushnel Base NO76

The scope base pictured here is normally used as the rear base on the Remington 788 rifle. Normal scope mount bases are designed to use the 6 by 48 screw which is smaller and weaker than the 8 by 40. In the Leupold Catalogue they claim the 8 by 40 screw is 41% stronger than the standard 6 by 48 screw. These mounts are popular for a couple of reasons:

1 They are thick enough to be easily adapted and can have the base modified to suit, and having the large 8 by 40 screw on the single hold base makes it a lot stronger. These bases can be modified for a multitude of uses from laser or torch mounts right through to scope or PDP mounting. If we can be any help in regards to this please don’t hesitate to contact us.
