Based on the superb 680 platform, with its unmistakable low, slim action and legendary, ultra-reliable mechanism; the receiver features the tried-and-tested locking system with iconic trapezoid shoulders and dual conical locking lugs. The long-established 680 balance has been further improved, while keeping the weight always on hinge pins. The closing of the 686 Silver Pigeon I Sporting is smoother and requires less effort thanks to the redesigned top lever, with a re-positioned release pin.

The engravings are created using modern Beretta technology, namely a 5-axis laser, capable of engraving rounded surfaces while maintaining perfect continuity in the design. The floral theme, created by Beretta’s Master Engravers, is now covering seamlessly the metal surfaces and extends for the first time to the receiver tail and embellishes the hinge pins. The background with micro-lines improves the depth of the scene.
