If you have a love for military history, surplus military firearms, and DIY gun-smithing, then THIS IS your next project. These Type 38 rifles don't have a bolt, making them perfect for parts or if you are feeling more adventurous, a restoration project. First adopted by the Japanese military in 1905, the Type 38 chambered the 6.5x50mm cartridge, considered 'under-powered' by Western standards, which in turn lead to the adoption of the Type 99 and the more powerful 7.7x58mm cartridge. Own a piece of military history today!
Please note that the pictures are of one rifle indicative of that particular condition range. Each individual rifle will be slightly different. These rifles have been in storage for some time and show some signs of rust. Many are in conditions good enough to restore.
This particular example is lacking the bolt.
• Arisaka Type 38 Poor Condition with no bolt.
• 6.5x50 Cartridge.
