The Aetec 2.8-10x44 offers fully multicoated optics, a repeatable TrueZero erector assembly, and a Quick Target Acquisition eyepiece. Its range of magnification is similar to the age-old standby of 3-9x - a choice that has served hunters well for generations. A mid-sized 44mm objective brings the twilight performance up a notch or two - a definite bonus when the day's end approaches and the game is afoot.

This particular Aetec is configured with a Truplex reticle and a matte black finish. .

A mounting base and rings are used to attach a riflescope to a firearm. A comfortable sight picture is contingent upon the height of the rings. A comfortable cheek-weld is the result of properly positioning the scope over the receiver. Mounting the scope close to the receiver is preferable, yet scopes with larger objectives need higher rings so the front bell can clear the barrel. It should be noted that in many mounting applications, a professional gunsmith's skills will be needed for proper installation.
