Mosin Nagant 91/30 Reproduction PU Scope WWll Rifle.
The legendary PU was originally noted for its precision and distinguished as one of the most consistently used rifle pieces throughout the Soviet Union during World War II. With the extreme rising rarity and value of the original PU snipers, standard Mosin Nagant 91/30 rifles such as this have undergone a popular modification where a 3.5x22 reproduction scope and mount is drilled and tapped into the side wall of the receiver along with installing a larger and bent-down bolt handle.
We have only just recently received a bulk lot of Mosins and these have recently been converted by our gunsmiths. These are very attractive rifles that are sure to turn heads and (whether original or not) belong in every serious collector's safe. If you've seen the film, "Enemy At The Gates" you'll especially recognise this rifle.
The 7.62×54mmR is a rimmed rifle cartridge developed by the Russian Empire and introduced as a service cartridge in 1891. Originally designed for the bolt-action Mosin–Nagant rifle, it was used during the late Tsarist era and throughout the Soviet period to the present day. The cartridge remains one of the few standard-issue rimmed cartridges still in military use and has the longest service life of all military-issued cartridges in the world.
Images are representative of the lot we have in stock. We have various conditions and production years from various manufacturers. They are matching serial numbers concerning bolts with magazines and receivers.
The PU scope’s design is timeless, having been tried and tested throughout the decades, known to withstand uncommonly rough conditions.
