Now you have the chance to own a very rare and collectible firearm! We have landed an exciting variety of 1940s era M1 Carbines and this is our most collectible 1 of the lot.

The M1 carbine (formally the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1) is a lightweight, easy to use, .30 caliber (7.62 mm) semi-automatic carbine that was a standard firearm for the U.S. military during World War II, the Korean War and well into the Vietnam War. The M1 carbine was produced in several variants and was widely used by not only the U.S. military, but by military, paramilitary and police forces around the world. It has also been a popular civilian firearm.

A total of over 6.2 million M1 carbines of various models were manufactured, making it the most produced small arm for the American military during World War II

Formed in the 1940s by John Pederson, inventor of the Pederson Device, and the Irwin family, Michigan furniture makers, Irwin-Pederson produced over 3,500 M1 carbines before the Ordnance Department canceled their contract (thus none ever entering service), making the Irwin-Pederson the most scarce of the M1 Carbines. Irwin-Pedersen receivers and parts are some of the most sought after by collectors due to their limited production. Saginaw (who took over the contract from IP) had two plants in operation, one in Saginaw, MI and one in Grand Rapids, MI. The Grand Rapids facility assumed a contract that had been originally awarded to Irwin-Pedersen Arms Co....I-P had assembled only 3,542 guns at the time.
